About The Organic Company
The Danish textile and workwear label The Organic Company was founded in 2007 by Joy Vasilijev. From the very beginning, the organic label has combined sustainability, quality and functional Scandinavian design in its collection concept. The founder only uses organic cotton from controlled cultivation for her fabrics, which is processed under fair production conditions. All designs are created in cooperation with Danish textile designers.
GOTS certificate
Since 2010 The Organic Company’s textiles are certified according to the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS). This involves independent quality assurance of the entire production and supply chain. The process from the extraction of the raw fibre, through the production of the textile, to the packaging is checked according to sustainability criteria. The raw materials come from organic farming and are processed under high environmental requirements during production. In addition, attention is paid to social aspects so that textile processing is socially responsible for the workers.
